Today's induction will bring the total number enshrined in the UPS Hall of Fame to 82. Mike Acres, the former boys basketball coach and athletic director at Central Kitsap High who went on to play at Seattle University, will be inducted as well - he was an assistant coach on the 1976 squad - as will Zeke Schuldt, the team's athletic trainer.

Other players on the team included Rocky Botts, Anthony Brown, Steve Freimuth, Mike Hanson, Phil Hiam, Mike Kuntz, Matt McCully, Jimmy Stewart, Mike Strand and Mark Wells. Most valuable player Peterson and Bainbridge's Brant Gibler, drafted in the eighth round by the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, were named to the All-NCAA Tournament Team. The 1976 team won a school-record 27 games, and Zech was named coach of the year. The rest of the team and support staff from that season will join them today.
